Forcing children to believe and act as you.

It is my belief that you should allow children to chose things for themselves.

Give them the tools, the guidance and understanding and then let them make the choice.

A parent can have have interests and beliefs that they can teach their children, but should never force on them. Each child is different. Each is their own person.

I know too many people who only want their kids to do the things they (the parents) love and believe what they believe. Not giving the child a say. Even when the child says over and over that they are not interested or that they don't like such and such a thing.

And what is worse, they don't allow the child to develop their natural talents and interests.

Montessori’s system may have worked with mentally challenged children, as intended, but is often corrupted in the raising children today and is the excuse offered by parents who ignored their children. I have seen families where there was no adult in the house. Unfortunately, development today is dictated by video games, stupid well meaning “advisors”, TV, and other immoral and socially engineered peers.
